U.S. passport issued by the U.S. Department of State
U.S. military ID
State, county and local government IDs
Permanent resident card, or "green card," issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Foreign passport, if stamped by the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service
Driver's license officially issued by a Territory of the United States, another state, Mexico or Canada
Inmate Cards
Understand the type of Notarial Service you require (i.e. Acknowledgement, Jurats, Oath / Affirmation, Certified Copy, Witness / Attest Signatures).
Make sure your Identification is an Acceptable ID.
Make sure your identification matches your name on the document(s) to be notarized.
All parties signing must be present, with an Acceptable ID.
Understand the document you are signing.
Documents must have all applicable blanks filled in, if something doesn't apply to you enter 'N/A' on the line.
For Jurats & Affidavits, Signature Line should be left blank. Notary has to witness you signing the document.
